Myclimate is one of the leading providers of carbon offsetting measures in the voluntary market today. Private and corporate customers can calculate their carbon footprint online and offset their emissions by investing in one of 70 projects in 29 countries. In doing so, customers not only reduce their carbon footprint but also make a sustainable contribution to climate protection. In addition, myclimate provides a comprehensive range of consulting services and uses climate education projects to raise public awareness of climate change and climate protection.

User experience was central to the advice that the web agency Liip offered myclimate in terms of the strategy and general design of the new website. User groups were identified and objectives were set for each group. An analysis of existing and new content provided the building blocks for the information architecture and the content-driven navigation.

Liip applied the in-browser approach to the visual design, while applying the front-end framework Bootstrap to add responsive features to the website. It provided the customer with a clickable front end to send to the Basel web development agency, Simplicity, who then built the website using Typo3.
