Matomo
What it’s all about
Matomo has been a reliable and secure analytics tool for many years, and therefore is a genuine alternative to other analytics solutions, particularly Google Analytics. There are many things to like about Matomo: a high level of privacy protection, secure data ownership, and its user interface. Did you know that you can choose where Matomo stores your data? Meaning your data is always under your control. So it is no surprise to us that an increasing number of customers are interested in working with us to tackle a Matomo migration. Will you be one of them?
What you get
Migrating to Matomo demands a lot of tact. So it is fortunate that our analytics and DevOps specialists know their stuff and have supported numerous companies with their Matomo migrations – from SMEs through to federal administration departments in the past.
Our main goal is to secure existing functionality after the Matomo migration. To do this, we use our analytics audit to analyse your existing analytics solution and evaluate what the infrastructure for your Matomo instance might look like. An implementation plan then ensures that all previous functions can be mapped in Matomo. Of course, we also support you with training sessions and regular Q&As so that you can easily navigate your tracking plan, tag management and KPIs.
Good to know
Matomo is 100% open source. In other words, with Matomo, you benefit from a dynamic platform that is continuously being refined by the analytics community around the globe.
Piwik PRO
What it’s all about
Who visited my website and when? Where do my users come from and what are they looking for? Piwik PRO offers answers to these questions. The all-in-one system uses an advanced tag manager that sends your collection of first-party cookies to an analytics suite. There, you can add additional data from other sources and visualise it. This quickly gives you an overview of the who, how, where and what. You can save your data where you want, either in the cloud, on-site or in a Piwik PRO data centre in Europe, Asia or the US. Or simply at our partner company in Zurich: Ops One. It is important that you know where to find your data. After all, data security is corporate security. And to make sure that your users also feel secure, the Piwik PRO Consent Manager offers them the option of changing their consent settings during their visit. Welcome to the future of digital analytics.
What you get
Our experience and expertise. We are specialists in Piwik PRO and we aim to offer you our experience and expertise in reporting and tag management. Another benefit of Piwik PRO is its sophisticated audience management. You can create aggregated user profiles based on anonymised user data. You can use information from events on your website as well as external sources such as newsletter forms and other CRM information to enrich the data in your user profiles.
Piwik PRO's adaptive and high-performance user interface is easy to use. Both experts and beginners can use it without a problem, and there are lots of out-of-the-box solutions to enable it to be implemented easily. You might be asking yourself whether Piwik PRO is the right solution for you. Well, it depends on what requirements you have with regard to data protection and hosting, as well as your KPIs and the technology your website uses. We also provide you with more information in regular training and Q&A sessions.
Good to know
Nowadays digital analytics solutions are plentiful. However, Piwik PRO distinguishes itself by being a reliable one-stop shop that focuses on data protection and privacy for website analyses. On this platform, even the most complex tracking analyses look good. It is still unclear what the field of digital analytics will look like in the future since national and global regulations, such as GDPR, are continuously changing, as are the technologies being used and users’ perceptions. Our advice: you should find a reliable analytics solution and a well-informed partner. This ensures that you always stay up to date and can act in line with the regulations.
Google Analytics
What it’s all about
Google Analytics is an analytics tool that enables you to keep a constant eye on how users behave on your website, from anywhere and at any time: visitor numbers, sales, bounce rate, conversions. In turn, this enables you to continually optimise your content and the user journey or functions you have designed and implemented.
Google Analytics allows you to measure your business goals in the digital world: you define your individual KPIs and Google Analytics supplies you with data, from registrations for your newsletter through to products sold. In addition, other services such as the Google Search Console can be linked with Google Analytics easily.
What you get
Quite a lot: first of all, our analytics specialists use an analytics audit to examine your existing analytics installation, no matter whether you are using Google Analytics or another analysis tool. This shows you the weaknesses and optimisation potential of your current analytics solution. Suppose you are not using Google Analytics yet. In that case, we will evaluate together with you, whether it is the right solution for your needs, in comparison to alternative analytics tools such as Matomo or similar.
Once you have chosen an analytics solution, we provide you with straightforward support wherever you need specialist expertise: with defining KPIs, with integrating tracking measures from the tracking plan we developed. And with targeted workshops and coaching sessions for you and your team, for example on how to properly use Google Tag Manager or how to integrate Google Analytics into your marketing processes.
Good to know
We have been using Google Analytics for our customers for many years, and are convinced of its benefits. For example, Google Analytics stores the data it collects on its own servers, and therefore has access to this and numerous other data sources. This has pros and cons: we provide you with independent, honest advice about whether Google Analytics is the right analytics tool for your goals and environment.
Google Data Studio
What it’s all about
The internet is growing with every second that passes, offering virtually unlimited quantities of information and being used by new people every day. Much of the usage data involved in this can be measured, but it is not all relevant by any means. So, what data is relevant?
Regular reporting is time-consuming if you have to painstakingly hunt down the information that is important to you. Google Data Studio is a visualisation solution for web performance data that does this job for you. Instead of drowning in a sea of data, you will simply receive the predefined metrics you have agreed on in advance with your Analytics specialists. This frees you from analysis paralysis, or in other words: you will no longer be lost in the Google Analytics jungle where you cannot see the wood for the trees. Google Data Studio pools sources and channels on a single platform. How does that work? We are happy to show you.
What you get
Design, implementation, maintenance – all services that we provide. Together we will define what data and from what sources Google Data Studio will visualise.
Our UX specialists will advise you on how to build your dashboard. We will also create your wireframes – in direct consultation with you, of course. Once we defined the data visualisations relevant for you, we implement them in the Google Data Studio dashboard.
How your data is displayed will not be set in stone, since we know that objectives can change and priorities may shift. Therefore, the dashboard is not a one-time solution, but rather a tool that develops in line with new and changing requirements. This ensures that you can keep a constant eye on all the data that is relevant to you.
Good to know
We are experts in working with Analytics. We show you how to make meaningful dashboards, work collaboratively on reports with other people from your team, and combine numerous data sources.
Of course, there are other solutions available besides Google Data Studio – and whichever tool is used, we would be happy to take care of your tag manager. This ensures that you can focus on what you do best: your core business.
Tag Management
What it’s all about
Yes, we are nerds, and we love programming. Tag management is how we make our nerdy side easy to understand. It means that you can flexibly shape your tracking, and we do not have to implement tags in the relevant part of the source text on every single page. Tag management combines your analytical and marketing tags into a central system using very little code. This container gives you a better overview and improved control, and reduces dependency on technical developments and their release cycles.
You can change, test and publish tags in the tag manager interface yourself. You can configure your settings for what is tracked when, and what use cases appear in your data gathering. Furthermore, you can create templates for easier, consistent tag management. And you can capture additional information with standardised tracking integration such as data layer. How does all of this work? Let us show you.
What you get
Audit, conception, implementation, testing, coaching – in all phases we work in close collaboration with you, to ensure that your system gains the best tag management. The audit examines questions such as: Is the existing tag management in line with current best practice? Does the tracking meet GDPR requirements? Once these and other queries are clarified, we move onto the design phase. We work with you to plan your new tag management set up and ask: What tracking is required to measure the relevant interactions?
We then get the tracking up and running and configure the tag management set up along with all associated tags, triggers and variables. Next comes testing, testing and more testing. Once everything works just how you need it to, you can start using your new tag management. But don’t worry, we won’t abandon you once the implementation process is complete. We will also teach you how to get the most from your system.
Good to know
Not all tag management is the same. But which system is the right one for you? We will help you to make the choice. We have experience with a variety of providers including Google Tag Manager, Matomo Tag Manager and Tealium iQ Tag Manager. One thing to keep in mind when choosing a tag management system is that the solution should allow user-defined integration of third-party tools and support all standard digital marketing technologies. And of course, the tag manager needs to be able to handle mobile apps and new technologies. In general, well planned and implemented tag management will improve your user experience compared with dedicated solutions by speeding up loading times. A better user experience means happier clients and thus greater success. Sounds good, doesn't it?
